About us

The MEDIA project empowers higher education institutions to strengthen media literacy, promote ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, and build digital resilience among students and academic staff across Europe.

MEDIA responds to the growing challenges of misinformation, AI-generated content, and rapid digital change in universities. Both educators and students need stronger skills to critically interpret digital information, use AI responsibly, and understand the risks and opportunities of today’s media environment.

Focusing on university students, lecturers, researchers, and support staff, the project develops competency frameworks, open-access learning modules, and innovative teaching approaches such as Flipped Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Microlearning. Through these activities, MEDIA enhances digital awareness, reduces vulnerability to misinformation, and supports safer, more responsible engagement with digital and AI-driven tools.
